Circa 1850-1890s Continental Rococo style monumental gilt gesso over wood frame constructed during the second half of the 19th century with gilt and ebonized wood line trim. The frame is heavily detailed with repeating scrolled foliage patterns, acanthus leaves, and anthemion trim. Please note of wear consistent with age including minor loss of gesso in scattered places. It also has chips to the paint and minor losses to the wood frame which has broken off.
