Circa 19th century large enclosed, glass front diorama of naval action between the American USS Chesapeake and the British HMS Sharron that took place on June 1st 1813 as part of the War of 1812. Please note of wear consistent with age. Made in either England or the United States. The back of the diorama box has a handwritten tag that reads " Depicted action between HMS Sharron and the USS Chesapeake 1st June 1813."
