Inuit Umiak Open Sealskin Boat 26 Inch Model
Circa early 20th century 26 inch model of an Inuit open sealskin boat called an "Umiak". Made between the 1910s and 1930s the model is composed of wood and sealskin and features eight original oars and original paint. In the indigenous Inuit culture of Alaska, these "Umiak" sealskin boats are rowed by women. Made in Alaska. Please note of wear consistent with age.
