A striking and generously scaled giltwood pier mirror featuring an exuberant carved crest of shells, scrolling acanthus, and foliate flourishes. The architectural frame is crowned with a dramatic shell cartouche flanked by sweeping volutes, while the base echoes the movement with layered shell and scroll detailing.

The carving is deeply modeled and richly dimensional, giving the piece strong vertical presence and sculptural drama. The gilt surface retains a warm, luminous gold tone with subtle tonal variation that enhances the carved detailing. The mirror plate is inset within a molded gilt surround, offering a clean contrast to the ornate perimeter. Currently two are available, sold individually.
