A richly decorative six-panel Coromandel screen, hand-painted with a detailed gilt bamboo grove and river landscape on a lustrous black lacquer ground. The reverse is adorned with scattered auspicious symbols and floral motifs in golden tones. The lacquer has developed a beautiful craquelure throughout, enhancing the depth and patina of the surface. Hinged panels allow for flexible display.
