Circa late 18th century Walnut work table with snake turned feet. The piece also features tripod legs that support a barley twist central column and a kidney shaped work surface with scalloped trim. On the far side of the kidney shaped tabletop surface sits a wood framed glass screen to protect the user from the heat of the fire while also providing ample light. The frame of the screen is also ornamented with a carved scallop shells and c-shaped scrolls. Made in Europe. Please note of wear consistent with age including patina and minor finish loss.
