Pair of 19th Century Wig Boxes with Leather Tufted Top
SKU F4BN241EP1222
Circa 19th century pair of wig boxes with leather tufted lids. The bodies of the wig boxes are ornately detailed with a royal coat of arms framed by a Unicorn and Lion. The swag at the base of the crest reads "Dieu Et Mon Droit" or "God and My Right". These coat of arms are associated with the Monarchy of the United Kingdom. The boxes themselves show heavy wear consistent with antique age including chips, surface loss, staining, and scratches. The metal also shows oxidation and patina.
