Pair of Classical Style Mirrors With Three Graces
Circa 1940s pair of gilt wood and composition mirrors in the Neoclassical style with white painted plaques depicting the three graces carved in relief. Made in the United States. Please note of wear consistent with age including refreshed paint, some wear to the gilding, and spotting to the original mirror glass plates. In Classical mythos, the three graces or three charities were three daughters of Zeus named Euphrosyne, Aglaia , and Thalia who gifted humankind with blessings of mirth, beauty, and festivity.
